Become an HVFC Buyer
Our collective uses an online platform called Rooted Farmers to list our availability each week and create an easy and streamlined shopping experience for you. Signing up to shop is FREE for wholesale buyers. Follow the steps below to shop our blooms!
Step 1: create an Account.
For floral designers and wholesale buyers, there is a short application process that takes around 5 minutes to complete. Be sure to select the option ‘I’m a florist, studio designer, or floral buyer.’ Note: It helps to have a reseller certificate handy when creating the account. There is a review process that takes up to 72 hours to confirm so get your application in asap if you want to place an order.

Step 2: Connect with Us
Once your profile is set up, search for Hudson Valley Flower Collective under “sellers” and request a connection. We will manually approve the connection from our end–but it may take us a minute.

Weekly Ordering
Each week, our floral availability will go live on Rooted on Wednesday at 9:30am for pick-up the following week.
Weekly Pick-Up
We offer pickup at our Red Hook location on Wednesdays from 10am – noon and Thursdays from 9am – noon. When you come to pick up your pre-ordered flowers, we’ll also have a floor of additional flowers for you to shop.

Do you offer delivery?
Currently we do not offer delivery, but we plan to offer that in the future.
When Can I Order Flowers?
Each week, the pre-order window is open from Wednesday at 9:30am to Monday at 5pm. The earlier you place your order, the more flowers you’ll get to choose from–we do sell out!
Is it pre-order only?
We highly suggest that you pre-order flowers on Rooted! That’s the best way to ensure that you can snag what you need, since we do sell out. But, we also always have a floor of last-minute product that you can shop from during pickup hours as well.
When are the pick-up hours?
Wednesday: 10am – noon
Thursday: 9am – noon
Can I pick up Outside of the Normal Open Hours?
We do require that buyers come within our normal scheduled pickup hours. Please also do not arrive too early! We cannot support early pickups before 10am on Wednesday, or before 9am on Thursday.
What should I bring with me when I come to pick-up my pre-order?
Please bring your own buckets to transfer your order into. We can provide water onsite.
I have a big event months / weeks from now. How far ahead can i pre-order flowers?
As of now, we can only support pre-orders placed the week before pickup. So, you can pre-order for a Saturday event on the Wednesday the week before that. We hope to offer father-in-advance options in the future.
How does payment work?
Our Rooted ordering system requires a credit card on file. We will charge your card for your order after you’ve picked it up. We do add a 5% handling fee to all orders, and this will be included in your subtotal when you check out on Rooted.
What happens if I’m not happy with my order?
We pay a lot of attention to the quality of flowers coming through HVFC each week, because we want you to be thrilled with your order! If you are ever unhappy with your order, the best time to bring that up is at pickup when you are receiving and inspecting your flowers. If the product is deemed unusable, we will work with you to find a solution, often a last-minute swap or a refund.
We are all working with an organic, natural product, so subtle color changes, differences in petal shape, or other small discrepancies from the flower listings on Rooted may occur. We ask that buyers be mindful of this when making their purchases and be open to receiving product that has some gentle variation in it.
I’m not a florist. Can I still buy from HVFC?
HVFC is specifically geared towards regional floral designers. You must be a registered business with a valid Sales Tax ID to create an account on Rooted and shop with HVFC. Members of the public are encouraged to join a local flower CSA or buy flowers a la carte at one of the many amazing farmers markets or farm stands in our region.
